About Us

St. Louis mixologist Kelsie Bender founded Bender Mixology Services in June of 2024, created to be more than a standard mobile bartending service. Bender Mixology delivers story-driven cocktail experiences at events throughout the Midwest, blending creativity, hospitality, and craftsmanship.

Originally from the Carbondale area and rooted in Southern Illinois, Kelsie began her career as an ambitious bartender in small-town bars, learning the trade through long nights, quick hands, and genuine guest connection. After a decade behind the bar, she set out to deepen her knowledge through formal education in spirits, technique, and cocktail design.

Kelsie earned advanced certifications through internationally recognized mixology programs including A Bar Above and the European Bartending School, then began competing in prestigious industry events such as the Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Challenge, Difford’s Hayman’s Gin Competition, and the Licor 43 Bartender & Barista Challenge. Each competition pushed her to refine her craft, expand her perspective, and continue evolving as a mixologist.

While growing Bender Mixology Services and relocating to the St. Louis area, Kelsie has delivered creative cocktail experiences at a wide range of events and venues. Her work was recently recognized by St. Louis Magazine for providing story-driven bar experiences, and in 2026 she was honored with two LuxLife Global Awards: Mixology Craft Excellence and Best Luxury Mobile Bar Service 2026 – Midwest.

As Bender Mixology continues to grow, Kelsie now focuses on working with clients seeking a more intentional, creative approach to events, while expanding into consulting and educational mixology experiences alongside select private events. Kelsie’s goal is to host community based mixology workshops alongside other business owners, as well as providing her knowledge and skillset to bars and establishments in need of modern and refined cocktail programs.
